Things to do in Star, Idaho

Star sits at the western edge of the Treasure Valley, where the suburban grid relaxes into pasture and the Boise River bends north. It's the kind of small town where the Christmas tree lighting still draws a crowd and the summer farmers market doubles as a community block party. The new downtown is filling in -- coffee shops, an ice cream parlor, a brewery -- and the parks system along the river is criminally underused.
