When to use: any time you'll photograph or video-record a person at a booth event, an event we cover, or any sponsored activity, AND you may use that media in our publications. Get a signed release from anyone whose face is recognizable in the foreground. Crowd shots from a distance generally don't require individual releases (consult counsel for specifics).

Media Release

By signing below, I grant [Publisher Legal Name] d/b/a "What's Up 208" / "Treasure Valley Insider" ("the Publisher") permission to:

• Photograph and/or video-record me at the event identified below
• Use the resulting photographs and videos in any of the Publisher's publications, websites, social-media accounts, print mailers, advertising, and promotional materials, in any medium now known or later developed
• Use my name as a caption or credit (if I provide it) in connection with the media

This permission is granted without expectation of payment.

I understand that:

• The Publisher owns the resulting photographs and videos
• The Publisher may edit, crop, or otherwise modify the media
• I will not have approval rights over how the media is used (within the categories above)
• The Publisher will not use my likeness in a manner that is defamatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful to me

I am at least 18 years old (or, if signing on behalf of a minor, I am the legal guardian of that minor and have authority to grant this release).

I release the Publisher from any claim arising out of the use of my likeness as permitted by this release.
