ACS NORM 2026: Join a Nobel Laureate, a National Medal of Science Recipient, and other eminent speakers in Boise We invite you and your students to participate in ACS NORM 2026, held at the Boise Centre East from June 28 - July 1, 2026. Our technical program is anchored by an exceptional lineup of scientific leaders: Sunday, June 28 (Opening Night): A plenary lecture by Nobel Laureate M. Stanley Whittingham, the pioneer of the first functional lithium-ion battery.Monday, June 29: A keynote address by National Medal of Science recipient Dr. Geraldine "Geri" Richmond, former Under Secretary for Science and Innovation at the U.S. Department of Energy.Tuesday, June 30: Dr. Yury Gogotsi (MXenes) and Dr. Mary “Nora” Disis (Cancer Vaccines).Featured Sessions Throughout the Meeting: Highlighting the work of Drs. Helen Blackwell (Chemical Biology), Tom Greenbowe (STEM Education) and Michelle Arkin and John Wood (Organic Synthesis and Drug Development). Technical programming includes sessions on advanced materials and manufacturing, focusing on semiconductor fabrication, nanotechnology, and energy materials. The schedule also highlights chemical biology and therapeutics, exploring organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and the chemistry of the microbial world. Additionally, the program addresses sustainability and education, covering food chemistry and valorization, nuclear chemistry, computational AI, and innovations in active learning. The meeting will also feature general sessions in chemical education, biochemistry and chemical biology, analytical, inorganic, computational modeling, food chemistry, materials and polymer chemistry, organic, and physical chemistry. Abstract submission is now open! All Boise State undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for free registration if they submit an abstract for a poster or oral presentation.
